I am sorry that you did not have a good experience when you are in Middle East, when you were a kid, however, a lot of people in the world. So, it is time to forget about childhood misfortune and learn to see the world as an mature adult. Middle East is mostly Muslim, however, muslim is not mostly Middle East. Arabs represent a minority of Muslims. There is a big difference between culture and religion. The religion, Islam, is defined by the beliefs expressed in the Quran. Those rules are supreme, so it does matter what the Quran says to understand what Islam is-- not what some closed-minded, bigoted, barbaric people say or do. It is important do differentiate two different ideologies at work. It is easy for people to tribute their wrong doings to religion but that does not mean the religion support such actions. Just look at the Spanish Inquisition for a Western example of that. The popular belief that is hyped by the media or pop culture does not necessarily constitute the truth. If so, all Wicks would be withches wearing black clothing and large hat, flying around on their brooms, ugly, old, long-nosed, wrinkled and knarled faced, circling a hot bubbling caldron, making spells, and generally making troubles for mankind. However, I know it is not true. You are probably a better judge of what Wicks are than popular media. Anyway, if you do not agree, we should agree to disagree. It is not worth arguing.
ps- By the way, according to the writing on the Statue of Liberty, US is seeking out immigrants, and as a lot of scholars and leaders would agree-- immigrants have made this country great.
