Shaykh Al-Sayyid Ibrahim Ahmad bin ‘Ali Baa ‘Alawi
Al-Sayyid Ibrahim was born in 1967 on the island of Anjowan, which is one of the islands that collectively form the Comoros Islands. After completing his secondary education he traveled to Egypt in 1986 in the pursuit of higher legal studies. He was accepted at the reputable al-Azhar University from which he graduated from the College of Law in 1996. He currently teaches Arabic Language at Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim, Hadramaut where he has resided sine 1999 with his wife and son Muhammad Zaki.

From amongst his most famous teachers was the highly respected Azhari hadith specialist Shaikh Muhammad Zaki Ibrahim, a colleauge of the late grand Shaikh of al-Azhar Abdul Halim Mahmud, and one of the last of those who possessed the lofty al-‘alamia al-qadim certificate of al-Azhar.
