In Montreal, Demonstrators protest war on Afghanistan

About 100 people demonstrated outside the United States consulate in Montreal on Monday, protesting against the military attacks against Afghanistan.

The demonstration was organized by a coalition of peace groups formed in the wake of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Coalition against War Hysteria and Racism.

Carrying signs that read "Stop American Terrorism" and "Don't Rain Death on Afghanistan," protesters urged the United States to look at what they said are the reasons behind last month's terrorism attacks and anti-American sentiment in parts of the Middle East.

They said the U.S. should examine its own foreign policy.
